blu12 Paradise Express Podcast Show

My new format will start soon: the Paradise Express Podcast Show. In this article you can find out what it is all about and how I got involved. So you can already look forward to the first episode of the Paradise Express Podcast Show. The scheduled premiere is May 12th, 2022 – at the same time as my monthly newsletter. So if you don’t want to miss out, just subscribe to my newsletter!

Leave the comfort zone!

Being an artist means continuous development. You keep reinventing yourself and are regularly exploring your own horizons. Further development not only means having new ideas and continuously working on your own projects, but also exploring limits, overcoming inner blockages, in short: breaking out of your own comfort zone.

As I mentioned in previous blog posts, I’ve been thinking about how I want to express myself, especially with blu12, for quite a while. Which advertising platforms do I want to use? How do I feel about social media? How do I want to be perceived? These and other questions are essential for finding your place and your audience.

Go your own way …

These thoughts also got me to the point where it became clear to me: While I am clearly also a service provider as a live musician with a cover program, I don’t want to be in the same position with blu12. Surely it would be easy to make corresponding entries on artist portals and the like to acquire customers. But I don’t think I can do justice to the idea behind blu12 in this way. Accordingly, I have gradually approached a concept that is not only sustainable and which I like to do, but which suits me and offers me the right framework.

More than half a year ago I launched my “new” newsletter “6, Drugs & Rock’n’Roll? We rock all 12!”, which replaced my previous, more sporadic live music newsletter. In it I concentrated more on my own music with blu12 and presented my own perspectives, thoughts and projects that go far beyond “what’s new”.

In addition, I have deliberately used this website as a blog to slowly create a framework and image of what I do as blu12. Both the newsletter and the blog give me the opportunity to express myself without pressure and without regard to algorithms. Bit by bit, I develop a kind of portfolio that expresses what I feel inside of me with increasing precision.

Ultimately, I’m still looking for a platform where I can reach a potentially larger audience. That and the fact that I want to add an auditory level to my newsletter to bring my music more into focus, ultimately led to the idea of the Paradise Express Podcast Show.

blu12, ambient acoustic rock, live music, one-man-band, music experience, songwriter, singer, gitarrist, atmospheric sounds, worlds of sound, live musik, events, festivals, ngo, endless sunset stage, paradise express podcast show, rock'n'roll, artist, Künstler, vanlife, von wegen 6 drugs & rock'n'roll - jetzt gibt's auf die 12, we rock all 12, inspiration

Originally, only a small, purely auditory podcast was planned, which should give an insight into my music every month as a supplement to the newsletter. However, the purely auditory framework quickly became a bit too small for everything I wanted to bring in there. It quickly became clear that this project had to overcome a number of hurdles.

becoming an artist ist being an artist

I not only want to convey a certain sound, but also create an artist persona visually. I also want to reach people internationally. I don’t just want to show the musical component of blu12, but the entire spectrum …

The podcast becomes a show and the auditory newsletter becomes a video format. So why not go to YouTube and use all the possibilities that today’s digital world can offer? So I have the chance to give blu12 a stage, both auditory and visually and in terms of content. So it’s not about actively recruiting customers, but actively taking people with me on my journey so that they can decide for themselves whether we want to go part of the journey together – in whatever form.

Why Paradise Express? Paradise Express is the (currently) unofficial name of our touring van. The podcast should flicker on your screens from on the road, on tour, from the touring van right to you. So the name was obvious and somehow fits the topics that await you. “Podcast” includes the rough format and “Show” – because after all you get to see something.

Incidentally, there won’t be a fixed script for the format, so I’m also very excited about the first episode. The rough preparations are almost done and one thing is certain: the Paradise Express Podcast Show will change your lives! So subscribe to my newsletter or my youtube channel directly:

Cheers!
