As Joe Cocker sang in 1969: „With a little help from my friends“, it still echoes on today. You don’t make it all alone. For many things a good hint, a little push forward or just someone to talk to is worth a lot.
With a little help from my friends
I myself wouldn’t be at the same point today without help. Especially talking about personal growth and development, finding your own voice and direction, a mentor will save you tons of time.
My personal mentor is Artista mentoring. We’ve been working together for quite a while and the good thing about it: sometimes I don’t even notice it. It’s „random“ questions asked about a song, a setup oder an idea. It’s like a good friend but with enough distance and objectivity to the project. Someone who has a sober view on something that might be quite emotional for yourself.
Sometimes though, our partnership is pretty intense – for example when I wrote and published my first book „Winzige Welten“ (tiny worlds). Alone you quickly lose sight for the whole and struggle with details. A second glance can put you back on track.
