Quite often, our own ego is in our way. We desperately try to make things work and we are surprised why they don’t.
Why don’t others share our enthusiam?
Why do we work so hard and see so little results?
Surely it depends on what we do. For me as a stage artist though, this is essential. What I do wouldn’t work if I was just thinking about myself. It’s always about the bigger picture – it’s about my audience. If I leave my audience out of the equation, my audience probably will do the same. If you don’t value your audience, they also may not value what you do.
The most people that I know grew up in a capitalistic system or are at least strongly influenced by it. This system focuses on the profit of the individual. But we can only truly win together, as a group, as a society, as empathetic beings.
That’s why I’m happy to have started a project on Startnext with my partner which focuses on this bigger picture. We want to contribute to our society. With our Crazy Heart Tour we want to bring our art and culture to those places and people who really need it. Many were strongly impacted by the corona crisis and we think that it’s time to built togetherness and community, spread hope and live solidarity.
