What if I could give endless concerts?
It’s done! The “Endless Sunset Stage” is self-sufficient. The complete lighting and sound technology can be operated via the on-board power supply. The batteries are charged either by solar energy or incidentally while driving.
So far there was only the 12V on-board network, with which I can charge and operate my pedalboard and charge all wireless systems. The lighting and sound technology used to be dependent on their own batteries. With the new inverter, however, it is possible to charge these devices with 230V and to operate other boxes or mixers live as well.
A test of how long the energy will actually last is of course still pending. But for normal touring, the system is good enough with a decent buffer upwards. All devices can easily withstand even long performances and then recharge overnight or while driving.
Recordings like the Paradise Express Podcast Show are now a lot more relaxed. Up to now I had to use the battery of my laptop, for example, or deliberately spared the battery of my mobile PA box. The latter will be there regularly in the future, so that passers-by (e.g. during the podcast show) can hear everything that I have on my ears, i.e.: effects, loop station and here and there percussive elements.
Enough electricity is also essential in the preparation and follow-up. Image/sound/video processing often takes a lot of time and therefore electricity.
