… that’s the title of my new YouTube video, in which I invested far more time than in any other video so far. I kicked up a lot of dust on old hard drives and picked out a lot of old and newer recordings. The idea: give blu12 a little more context. Some things just need to be shown, said and somehow concluded so that new things can start. You can see whether and how I managed this live and together with me at the video premiere tonight at 8:15 p.m. It’s a bit short notice, but the good news is: you can watch the video at any time later!

At the end of May I was officially at my first festival with blu12 – the Street Music Festival Ludwigsburg. There were a lot of hurdles in the way of this festival, so it was almost a miracle that we even got there. The festival itself was no less strenuous: long walking distances, too little time, sound checks that don’t deserve the name and an audience that already had to pay for entry to the festival and so of course had less to spend on the artists’ hats (except for an expense allowance there was NO pay for the artists). The organization corresponded to my previous experiences with agencies: the main thing is that the sponsors are happy and the profit margin is as high as possible…

Nevertheless, I see the whole thing quite positively, because if the festival had been well organized, I would have only learned half as much. So the days in the Baroque Park Ludwigsburg were a good school for everything that will come to me in the future.

Here are a few impressions of the festival!

blu jam

Just improvise and stick with it, that’s the motto of “blu jam”. You can already watch or listen to two videos of this on YouTube. I definitely still have to work on the video material, but that always depends on the subjects I can film. It’s not enough for a Paradise Express podcast show. But I think as soon as we head towards the ocean again, the blu jam will definitely somehow merge with the Paradise Express. By then there will also be some new topics that I can combine with visual art, music and maybe even more performative elements. Stay tuned!

Things are moving forward! It looks like the Crazy Heart Tour is not only our heart project, but is increasingly becoming the heart of our company and possibly everything we do. We are currently working on the new concepts, a new website and a lot more. You can get a small impression here with our latest logo design feat. Ms Italia and Mr Rockalicious. This will soon be printed in the form of stickers and will hopefully be stuck everywhere soon!
