Cheerioh!

Are you ready for some magic? Or perhaps more for the unpredictable, the uncertain, the special? Yes? No? In any case, a few lines of rock’n’roll – let’s go!

What’s new?

  • 3 magical new videos with blu12 music

  • Announcement of the new video format “beyond blu”

  • The third attempt of a long-planned mission is approaching!

6, Drugs & Rock’n’Roll?

Definitely lots of music! In the third edition of “blu jam” there are around 20 minutes of uncut blu live improvisation – pure – in the moment.

The second video is actually something special for me. It was taken on the fairly cold day after the last day of summer sometime in October. Somehow the only right thing at that moment would have been to pack our things and drive south. Instead we stayed in the cold. “Lost daydreams” ultimately emerged from this rather depressing context, which I then recorded without much preparation, while writing lyrics that I sang with some quite different effect as ususal. I suspect that this piece means or will mean another substantial change for blu12.

Last but not least, there is a new version of an excerpt from the blu12 song “Run” as a kind of endless loop for dancing, dreaming or whatever else comes to mind.

beyond blu

In the last newsletter I reported on my slightly different video “call me blu”. If you haven’t read it yet, you can find it here: “call me blu”. This and other impulses motivated me to create a whole series of videos that take a look behind the scenes of blu12. It should be about the big picture: my life journey, music, gear, ambitions and lots of unfiltered thoughts about what may become the biggest adventure of my life. Maybe I’ll finish the first episode till Christmas – let yourself be surprised (and feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel).

I pack my things …

In spring 2022 I went on my first tour with the then new “Endless Sunset Stage” on the roof of my van. A few episodes of the “Paradise Express Podcast Show” video format were created and I spontaneously played in a small café on the Atlantic coast.

The second tour to Sardinia followed in autumn/winter 2022, also with a few episodes of the Paradise Express Podcast Show, as well as a Crazy Heart Tour appearance for people with disabilities.

Now the third attempt is to follow. The goal is for me to concentrate completely on blu12 and share my music with as many people as possible. I’m leaving the service sector behind for now and finally starting to get my art to the places where it belongs. It is said that fish in aquariums only reach a fraction of their size due to the limited size of the tank. My aquarium days are long behind me – so it’s time to throw myself out of the tank into the river towards the sea as well.

The planned tour start is December 22nd. But somehow the list of things that are still open is not getting any shorter. It’s this strange feeling of “I should have left a long time ago” versus “nothing will be finished in time” and “the conditions are suboptimal”. Maybe it will come down to us simply turning on the engine on day X and not looking back. Ultimately, for me that would be exactly the definition of “rock’n’roll”: shaking up your life and getting moving.

So keep your fingers crossed that I’ll write you the next newsletter from a completely different place with a completely new perspective!
