“Alone, it’s just a journey. Now, adventures, they must be shared.”
… so it says in the current “Rings of Power” series. In fact, there are countless “together you are less alone” sayings and the longer you are on your personal journey, the more you realize the importance of shared adventures. For me, sharing special moments is already a vocation – whether here through this newsletter, my blog, in personal encounters or live on stage.
If there’s one thing I’ve achieved in 2022, it’s definitely that: experiencing more unique, wonderful, extraordinary and special moments. A lot of things were not planned. But somehow that is also a crucial characteristic of real adventures. They happen if you let them and create an appropriate framework for them.
This year, however, I’m throwing my fishing rod in the proverbial shark tank, diving into the ice-cold water and stepping on the gas on all-new slopes.
What if a huge wave swept over us at the end of 2023 and the only alternative we had was to learn to surf until then? I ask myself this question and start tomorrow to prepare for exactly this scenario. 😉

I scroll through photos from the last year, skim the newsletters of the last 12 months and let the last year come alive in my mind’s eye. Yes, I was damn critical of every step I took in 2022. Yes, I’ve carried a fair amount of dissatisfaction with me. But wow – was that a year! I’ve surpassed myself in so many ways, reinvented myself and cultivated a whole new lifestyle.
Looking back, it seems absolutely surreal that all these things, these many moments, this roller coaster ride happened in just 365 days.
At every performance I meet people for whom this evening is a unique happening, while for me it is a regular pleasure. Along the way, I meet all kinds of people who are exploring places for a few days or weeks, while I do that for several months a year. Every day is a day of actively working on my dreams, my true passions and truly relevant projects.
So 2023 can only be great, because with every new thought, every new idea, I build another piece of the big picture.
With this in mind, I wish us all a great start to the new year and we’ll read each other in exactly one month when „6, drugs & rock’n’roll? We rock all 12!“ is back.
