Cheerioh!

Welcome to the eighth edition of my newsletter! Without any further big words – let’s dive into my music, Rock’n’Roll and the latest from life as a stage artist without safety net.

All editions of this newsletter and other articles are also available on my blog.

Today: Where is the music?

“…let’s dive into my music…” – now where is it? I don’t know if you were wondering that, but I have. So far there hasn’t been much to hear, but that’s about to change. I am currently planning a small musical “podcast”, which you will receive every month together with the newsletter. This is not intended to replace the written newsletter, but to expand it.
In a few days the touring van will be on the road again and I hope to have a little more freedom and inspiration then so that I can concentrate on the musical part of the newsletter in a more relaxed manner.
The new trailers are also a long time coming… A new live music trailer is planned, as well as a first real blu12 trailer. The music of the former is already in the can, but it still needs a video. For the blu12 trailer I want to choose very special places on the coast in order to stage the music, the ambience and the “Endless Sunset Stage” accordingly and to combine them in a visual and auditory form.
Good things take time and I’m also learning more and more to take my time and let projects mature a little longer.

blu12 perspective

Every month there is my very personal point of view at this point: today the view of the Atlantic on the French west coast. The quote is an excerpt from the song “Sleepin’ under a cloudy sky”. You can probably enjoy the sunny, carefree days most when you have learned to love the countless facets of the cloud-covered sky, long for the first drop of rain and finally are literally surprised by the first ray of sunshine.

  • Don’t miss it: in the last edition of the Mitossi Radio Show, exclusively on Patreon, blu12 improvises live: www.patreon.com/mitossi (every support rocks! Patreon posts are in German & English, the Radio Show moderation-parts currently only in German)
  • Done: the blu12 logo on the back of the tour bus – yeah!

blu12 backstage journal

What am I doing all day? What’s new & what does that mean for you?

The start of the year was stressful – endless preparations for the coming season and the upcoming tour, which starts in a few days. However, over the last weekend there was already a small test tour, on which almost everything that you expect (or not) has already happened. For two and a half days we covered several hundred kilometers in the tour bus, there was a full-length performance with an enthusiastic audience, we experienced almost all seasons: sun, rain, snow, hail, wind (+ silence), clouds and a starry sky. It was the first night in the tour bus with an outside temperature of 0 degrees (freezing point!) and the first breakfast outside in the sun. We met great people and finally had face-to-face talks again and with a headache we retreated to the car and just didn’t do anything at all. Like I said: two and a half days. You can experience so much just by stepping out of your comfort zone. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do again next weekend. Because it’s time to clear our heads and fill up on new ideas.

With this in mind: we’ll read each other in exactly one month when „6, drugs & rock’n’roll? We rock all 12!“ is back.
