Cheerioh!

Unusual times call for unusual ways. So if you want to know what I’m finding increasingly odd here, what I’ve kept you waiting for far too long, and what mystery may soon be unfolding here – read on!

Unusual times

Massive decline in live formats and open stages, once big events as shadows of themselves, Germany-wide reclaims of Corona aid payments – there is currently a lot to observe, albeit little positive.

My view here is very subjective and isolated large city festivals with massive crowds may hide the actual state of our cultural landscape and other areas of social life. But both the old and the new federal government have managed to maneuver us almost unnoticed from one crisis to the next, without seeming to even begin to understand what is at stake.

But where are we in this game? If you follow the argumentation of the “Parabelritter” (Videolink), then we are the losers. And while we’re losing, we try to outperform as many as we can. Save yourself who can – long live individualism.

First the “corona crisis”, now the “energy crisis” and all this against the background of the advancing “climate catastrophe” in the form of storms, flood disasters, drought waves and forest fires. The consequences of our consistent looking the other way can already be seen in our front yards, we are feeling it in our wallets and many of us are already feeling it in our private and business spheres due to supply bottlenecks.

The uncertainty and resulting caution is understandable. Some continue their reluctance in relation to cultural and social life, some think with gloomy foresight “if not now, then when?” So I would like to cheer you up at least a little today, because my new live music trailer is finally done!

Yes, you might be thinking to yourself: “What about leaving the service sector?”. Fair question. In fact, the trailer was already planned a year and a half ago and somehow I wanted to finish the project – albeit differently than implemented. After all, I still like playing the cover program and I’m never averse to a cool party.

After all: the trailer does not stick to marketing strategies with a length of 5 minutes. So have fun watching and listening!

blu12 perspective

Every month there is my very personal point of view at this point: today the view of the Atlantic on the French west coast. The snapshot reflects my current mood a bit: departure, resistance and disillusionment in the face of the constantly flattening surf. Some things just need more than just one wave to come to the beach of new possibilities. Hang in there!

News in short:

blu12 backstage journal

What am I doing all day? What’s new and what does that mean for you? I’ve been writing about this for a year now. Time for something new!

The fact is: What I do, how I do it, why I do it and how I survived the biggest crisis of our time (so far!) quite relaxed, while much larger companies filed for bankruptcy – that will probably stay a mystery for most. As a perpetual vacationer, workaholic and modern Rumpelstiltskin, I am constantly reinventing myself somehow. Some find it exciting, some find it strange – I take it like Captain Jack Sparrow: “Take what you can get and give nothing back”.

With this in mind: we’ll read each other in exactly one month when „6, drugs & rock’n’roll? We rock all 12!“ is back.
